Ingredients:
- 2-3 tablespoons of cooking oil
- 3-4 cloves of garlic
- 1-2 red chilli peppers
- Pinch of salt
- 300-400 grams of ground chicken
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon of black bean shrimp chilli crisp
- 1-2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of fish sauce
- Honey or sugar to taste
- 1-2 tablespoons of oyster sauce
- Lots of basil leaves
- Warm rice
- Fried egg
- Additional black bean shrimp chilli crisp for garnish
Instructions:
- Heat the cooking oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Sauté the garlic, red chilli peppers, and a pinch of salt in the pan until fragrant. You can either pound them in a mortar and pestle or finely chop them.
- Add the ground chicken to the pan and season it with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for about 3-4 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked.
- Stir in the black bean shrimp chili crisp.
- Add 1-2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of fish sauce, honey or sugar to taste, and 1-2 tablespoons of oyster sauce to the pan. Mix well.
- Cook the mixture for an additional 4-5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Add lots of basil leaves to the pan and stir until wilted.
- Serve the Black Bean Shrimp Basil Chicken with warm rice and a fried egg on top. Garnish with additional black bean shrimp chilli crisp if desired.
