I’m Raman Okram, founder of Ramano’s.

My journey with food began long before the brand itself. Growing up, I watched my mother and grandmother cook with patience, intuition, and an unwavering belief that great food doesn’t need to be complicated it simply needs the right ingredients. Those moments shaped the way I think about flavour and continue to inspire everything we create today.

My love for cooking only grew stronger over the years. During my time away from home, I found myself recreating the comforting flavours I missed, spending more time experimenting in the kitchen than anywhere else. What started as a passion soon became an obsession with understanding ingredients, techniques, and the small details that transform a simple meal into something memorable.

Pan Asian cuisine quickly became my playground. Dumplings, noodles, rice bowls, grilled vegetables, eggs, every dish introduced me to the power of thoughtfully crafted condiments. They weren’t just accompaniments, they were the finishing touch that brought every meal to life.

Among my experiments, one condiment stood out. I began making my own chilli oil layered with texture, aroma, and bold flavour. Friends and family kept asking for jars, and the recipes I shared online received an overwhelming response. What started in my home kitchen soon became the foundation of Ramano’s.

But the vision was always much bigger than a single product.
